Australian startup Newzulu to acquire Canadian media company Filemobile for over AUD$5 million

Crowdsourced news distribution startup Newzulu has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Toronto-based media company Filemobile for approximately AUD$5.06 million (CD$5 million), depending on a number of conditions. To fund the acquisition, Newzulu will undertake a capital raise, details of which will be released at a later date. Newzulu will re-comply with Chapters 1 and 2 of the ASX Listing Rules in respect to the acquisition.

Breaking: Sydney startup Netcomber.com acquired by Profound Networks

Startup Daily has just confirmed that Netcomber.com has just been acquired by Profound Networks.

Netcomber.com was founded by Sydney based Luke Metcalfe, who owns Rapid Intelligence and also publishes NationMaster.com in December 2012 and Andre Weyher, who was part of Matt Cutts’ famous Search Quality team at Google later joined to head up PR and Marketing and drive the business forward.
